Capellini Caprese

This video from the Kraft Foods Cooking school will show you how to make Capellini Caprese similar to what is served at the Olive Garden restaurant.

Make the Caprese

Caprese ins the style of Capri means made with tomato, basil, olive oil and mozzarella cheese. The recipes to the right call for using Italian salad dressing.

Basic ingredients

  • onion
  • garlic
  • cherry tomatoes
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • fresh basil

Cook Pasta

If you cannot find campellini just substitute spaghetti and cook according to package directions.

what you need

300 g (1/3 of 900-g pkg.) capellini or spaghetti, uncooked

1/4 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups halved grape or cherry tomatoes

1/2 cup Kraft Mozzarella Shredded Cheese

1/3 cup fresh basil, finely sliced

make it

COOK pasta as directed on package.

MEANWHILE, heat dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 2 min. Add tomatoes; cook 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

DRAIN pasta. Add to tomato mixture; mix lightly. Sprinkle with cheese and basil.
