Stuffed Chicken Marsala



The stuffed chicken marsala at Olive Garden is a chicken breast stuffed with Italian cheeses and topped with mushrooms and a creamy marsala sauce.

NOTE: The video cooking demonstration was to show the technique for making the stuffed chicken breasts.



Ingredients for Olive Garden Stuffed Chicken Marsala
6 chicken breasts
salt
pepper
thye
6 slices prosciutto
6 slices of Fontina cheese
flour for dredging
olive oil
10 ounces mushrooms
1/2 cup marsala wine
2 cups chicken stock
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp flour


Directions
Cut and pound the chicken breasts as flat as possible.
Season with salt, pepper and thyme.
Place a slice of prosciutto and a piece of Fontina cheese on each chicken breast.
Roll into a ball.
Dip chicken breasts in flour.
Add oil to a skillet and saute chicken breasts until brown on both sides.
Remove browned chicken breasts from skillet.
Add more oil if necessary.
Add mushrooms to skillet and saute on high until brown.
Add Marsala wine to skillet and reduce by half, about 5 minutes.
Add chicken stock to skillet.
Put chicken back into the pan.
Simmer until chicken is cooked through. About 5-10 minutes.
